Cookies and storage

openbarista.io doesn’t use tracking or advertising cookies, so there’s no cookie banner. This page lists everything the site keeps in your browser, and why.

What the site stores

| Name | Where | What it’s for | How long | |---|---|---|---| | ob:view | Local storage | Remembers whether you chose the Classic or Immersive view | Until you clear it | | ob:attr | Session storage | Remembers which link you arrived by (for example our festival flyer) so your sign-up is credited to it | Until you close the tab |

Neither identifies you, and neither is sent to us except as part of a form you choose to submit.

Analytics without cookies

We use PostHog in cookieless mode: it sets no cookies and uses no local or session storage. Visits are counted on PostHog’s servers from a privacy-preserving hash, without a persistent identifier.

The “are you human?” check

When you use a form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you’re a person, usually invisibly. To do that, Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie on its own domain (challenges.cloudflare.com). It isn’t used to track you across sites. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details.

Your choices

You can clear or block site storage in your browser settings. The site still works; you’ll just see the default view again.

For everything else about your information, see our privacy notice.
